ProjectForum has completely re-engineered the trading platform www.project-forum.com and aims for quality and cost leadership

Hamburg (Germany), 26th of August, 2020 – The professional online marketplace for solar projects and solar energy investments has completely reinvented itself. After the pioneer of internet-based trading of solar investments had become quieter in recent years, the founders were faced with the question: discontinue the marketplace or radically re-start it and come back much better? As there was still a lack of a truly transparent, efficient and cost-effective marketplace, the decision to re-start was taken.

New partner for independent and continuous development of the platform

To enable a real new start, the right partner had to be found for the relaunch and future evolution of the marketplace. “We took a lot of time in the search and selection of our software partner, as we unfortunately lacked our own coding know-how in the former marketplace,” says Karsten Kreissler, Managing Director of Renewables Now GmbH. “We are very happy to have found exactly that enthusiasm and competence for the development of web applications that completes our newly founded joint venture in the team of VIPERdev from Hamburg”.

Automation enables significant reduction of marketplace fees

Within a few months after the founding of the joint Renewables Now GmbH, the marketplace processes were revised, the new web application was programmed and the marketplace was relaunched with a fresh internet presence under the new domain www.project-forum.com. Furthermore, a roadmap for future development was defined, which contains exciting development potential for the platform. Due to the extensive automation of ProjectForum’s processes, the internal effort for marketplace support will be significantly reduced. These cost savings are passed on directly to the users, so that ProjectForum has by far the lowest transaction costs in trading PV projects and solar investments – an added value for both sellers and buyers. “We dare to do the balancing act and strive for both cost and quality leadership in our segment,” says Karsten Kreissler optimistically. “The organisational and technical basis has been laid in order to become the leading international platform for renewable energy transactions in the long term”.

About ProjectForum / Renewables Now GmbH

Renewables Now GmbH develops and operates the international and professional online marketplace for solar projects and solar investments www.project-forum.com (short: ProjectForum). The access restricted and highly automated platform is the direct interface between project developers, EPC contractors and final investors. The ProjectForum team consists of renewable energy engineers, software developers and business economists. It has many years of experience in the planning, construction and operation of solar power plants on the one hand and in the design and programming of efficient web applications on the other.
